Always wanted to visit this place, finally today I was treated to lunch there. The food was so good, the best in the area (Hawkesbury) I had the steak sandwich, so flavorful and tasty. I savored every mouthful, from the potatoes, to the steak (melt in your mouth) to even the dill pickle. I frequently eat in Montreal, and this restaurant is definitely comparable to the better ones, only with much more reasonable pricing. The service was also faultless (thanks again Louise). The only negative was the dessert. I had requested the key lime pie - I think it was actually lemon meringue in a chocolate crust; and the lemon filling was definitely not fresh, most likely lemon pudding. I did not even eat the crust (not too fond of chocolate desserts). Overall, very impressed with the quality of food, the service and the price point. Definitely worth repeat visits.
Every time I eat here I either get sick or the food is just plan gross! Also noticed the workers going out for a break and someone tells them to come in almost right away.. you do know that LEGALLY everyone has to have a break every 2 hours right? Poor service waitresses are rude and swear. This is where you work lady's! Be more professional!!! There are children who hear you swear and is it really that damn hard to smile at everyone?! Don't you want your customers to leave happy?? Not a good place to eat .
The best restaurant in Hawkesbury. Large. Nice decor. Friendly staff. Large portions. Good selection. Reasonable prices. Parking.
They have an excellent lunch menu and provide good portions! We ate a hearty meal here after rafting in Red river nearby. We ordered for the grilled salmon and back ribs. They have been in service for more than 25 years and everything speaks for it- food, decor, ambience.
Old fashion restaurant. Somewhat of a 70s or 80s vibe. Food is of good quality and tasty. The service is excellency.
